As the year approaches its conclusion, we were delighted to have the latest inductee unveiled on our Wall of Fame for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Coaching Excellence’, as we paid tribute to the late Julie Chipchase, better known by many as ‘Chippy’.
Our Wall of Game acknowledges coaches across the country at various levels, who have made a remarkable impact on our game.
Julie dedicated 13 years of her career to The FA, and during that time influenced players, coaches, and coach developers. Her rightful place in our Wall of Fame complements a bench installed in her memory back in 2021, and Julie can now be remembered in our National Football Centre where colleagues and visitors can learn more about the impact she had across the game.
Julie’s close family and friends attended her unveiling onto our Wall of Fame following an open training session with the England senior women’s team.
Lionesses Millie Bright, Mary Earps, and Anna Moorhouse all joined Julie’s family and friends to share their own memories of ‘Chippy’ from their time at Doncaster Rovers Belles, where Julie served as a player, manager, and Director of Football.
Our Head of Coach Development, Dan Clements, and colleagues from grassroots coach development were among the attendees for the unveiling ceremony, with her place on the Wall of Fame ensuring that Julie’s dedication and impact to coaching will never be forgotten.
