A fine goal from Eberechi Eze set Crystal Palace on their way to an impressive 3-0 win at Fulham which secured the Eagles a place in the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals.
Eze curled home a precise effort from distance just after the half-hour mark at Craven Cottage before setting up Ismaila Sarr for Palace's second four minutes later.
Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to seal the outcome 15 minutes from time to book a trip to Wembley Stadium for Oliver Glasner’s side, whose dreams of lifting the famous trophy for the first time are well and truly alive.
Just four places separate the two sides in the Premier League and Fulham were first to go close in the sunshine by the Thames, Rodrigo Muniz bursting into the area and curling wide of the far post.
Bernd Leno then had to be alert to deal with a goalmouth scramble from a corner before punching away Jefferson Lerma’s long throw as Palace began to threaten from set pieces.
Fulham went straight up the other end through Calvin Bassey, who surged into the box and cut the ball back for Andreas Pereira, who slid his shot wide when well placed.
Lerma came inches away from a goal of the season contender when his volley from 25 yards crashed off the crossbar and it wasn’t long until Palace went ahead.
The opener arrived courtesy of Eze, who cut inside and located the bottom corner with a brilliant finish via the inside of the post to continue an excellent week, having scored for England against Latvia on Monday.
Eze then turned provider with a left-footed cross which was nodded home by Sarr to leave Fulham shell-shocked by the quickfire double blow.
Antonee Robinson saw a tame effort comfortably saved by Dean Henderson in the dying stages of the first half and the second began with the hosts earning a flurry of corners as they sought a way back into the encounter.
Willian forced Henderson into a save with a deflected effort from the same position as Eze had slotted home the opener and Bassey looked set to halve the deficit from the resulting corner only for Sarr to produce a vital block.
Any hopes Fulham had of a fightback were dashed in the 75th minute when substitute Nketiah slotted between the legs of Leno and celebrated in front of the travelling fans in the Putney End.
Daniel Munoz had a shot blocked late on while Sarr saw another effort saved as Palace comfortably saw out the closing stages and sealed a semi-final spot for the second time in four seasons.
