The match, which kicks off at 4.30pm, will be shown live on BBC Two.

Arsenal and Everton secured their places after overcoming Chelsea and Notts County respectively in the Semi-Finals last Sunday.

Twelve-times winners Arsenal will be looking to defend the trophy after they defeated Bristol Academy 3-0 in last year’s Final. Everton will be hoping for a repeat of their last Cup Final appearance, in 2010, when they defeated Arsenal 3-2 after extra-time.

Sue Hough MBE, Chair of The FA Women’s Committee, said: “The FA Women’s Cup Final is one of, if not the biggest match in the women’s domestic calendar and to have a referee of Martin Atkinson’s calibre officiating really highlights the importance of the game.

“It’s also pleasing to see two female officials involved in the match, which reflects the excellent progress that has been made around women referees, across the men’s and women’s games.

“Officials such as Sian Massey and Amy Fearn, working in the men’s game, are a real inspiration to our 900-plus female referees in this country and it’s great to see a mixture of men and women officiating across in The FA WSL, The FA Women’s Cup and also in the men’s game.

“The stage is certainly set for an excellent Cup Final.”

English officials Sian Massey and Natalie Walker have been appointed as assistant referees for this summer’s FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup, which will take place in Canada from 5-24 August.

The FA Girls’ Youth Cup Final between Everton and Liverpool (KO 1pm) will take place before the main Final, and forms one part of a tantalising double-header.

Tickets, which are valid for both matches, are on sale now priced from £10 for adults and £5 for children. A family ticket (two adults and two children) is also available and priced from £20.
