FA Women's Cup semi-final venues confirmed

Friday 17 Apr 2015
The semi-finals take place on 3 and 4 May

The venues for the 2015 FA Women’s Cup semi-finals have been selected, as clubs compete for a place in the competition's first ever Wembley final.

Goodison Park will host Everton v Notts County on Sunday 3 May at 2pm.

Everton, who reached the 2014 final, are the only FA Women’s Super League (WSL) 2 side left in the competition and will face a strong Notts County side at Goodison.

2pm, 3 May - Goodison Park
Chelsea v Manchester City
2pm, 4 May - Adams Park

FA WSL 1 early league leaders Chelsea will take on Manchester City at Wycombe Wanderers' Adams Park home the following day at 2pm.

Manchester City will be looking for a repeat of their FA WSL Continental Cup Final success last season, where they beat Arsenal 1-0 at the same venue.

The 2015 final will be played at Wembley Stadium Connected by EE on Saturday 1 August (3pm KO).

Ticketing details for the semi-final ties will be announced on the week commencing 20 April.

Commenting on the announcement Everton captain Michelle Hinnigan said: “It's absolutely amazing news.

"It's always been a dream of ours to play at Goodison Park but none of the current team have had a chance to play competitively there.

Adams Park will host Chelsea and Manchester City's tie on 4 May

"I've taken part in a charity game there around four years ago, but to play competitively in the semi-final of the FA Cup is incredible.

"We hope the occasion will bring us lots of support and allow us to show the Blues' fans how much the quality of women's football has improved."

Chelsea and England striker Eni Aluko added her own words of excitement: “It would be great for us to get a good crowd down at Adams Park," she said.

"Games don’t get bigger than this one. Chelsea versus Manchester City is always a big game, whether it’s men’s football, women’s football or youth football.

“With the additional carrot of a Wembley final, we all know it’s going to be a massive game and it’s one we’re all looking forward to.”

Tickets are available for the final now priced £10 for adults and £3 for children (early bird).
