Dele Alli collected the Young Player of the Year title at the 2016 PFA Awards on an evening where English players dominated the nominations.
Alli was one of four Englishmen on the shortlist for the award, along with Tottenham Hotspur teammate Harry Kane as well as Ross Barkley of Everton and Stoke City's Jack Butland.

The Women's Players' Player of the Year prize went to Lionesses midfielder Izzy Christiansen, ahead of international teammate Gemma Davison and England Under-23 striker Beth Mead, as well as Swedish goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl and South Korea's Ji So-Yun
Christiansen has been part of the senior Lionesses squad since 2015
Mead did not go home empty-handed, though. The Sunderland striker topped an all-English nominees list for the Young Player of the Year prize in recognition of her free-scoring form in the FA WSL.
Mead has an impressive goalscoring record for Sunderland
The men's Players' Player of the Season prize went to Riyad Mahrez, with Leicester City teammate and Three Lions striker Jamie Vardy second in the vote. Kane completed the top three.
The England duo were included in the Premier League Team of the Year, along with Alli and another Spurs player in Danny Rose.

Tom Heaton, who looks set to be part of the England squad for EURO 2016, was named in the Championship Team of the Year while there were seven English players in the FA WSL Team of the Year:
