England's Gary Lineker celebrates his fourth goal in a 4-2 win over Spain

It was 29 years ago on Thursday that Gary Lineker scored all FOUR goals for England in a 4-2 win over Spain at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.

The Three Lions striker, who was playing in Spain for Real Madrid's fierce rivals Barcelona at the time, netted a first-half equaliser before putting Bobby Robson's side ahead before the break.

And he added another two after the break as an England side featuring the likes of Glenn Hoddle, Peter Beardsley and Chris Waddle ran riot in the Spanish capital.
