Jo Potter in action against Germany

Jo Potter thought her England days were long-gone when Mark Sampson came calling in August.

But she caught Sampson's eye with her impressive performances for the Blues this season, who narrowly missed out on the WSL 1 title on a thrilling final day.

She marked her first cap in seven years with a goal in the 10-0 qualifying win in Montenegro and then capped off her comeback year with a substitute appearance in the landmark meeting with Germany at Wembley Stadium last month.

Potter is one of 30 players who played for Mark Sampson's side during 2014 and is a contender for the Vauxhall England Women's Player of the Year.
