The in-form Notts County forward has scored seven goals in six games and replaced injured club mate Ellen White ahead of Thursday’s World Cup qualifier against Ukraine in Shrewsbury.
It is the first time Clarke has been called up by Mark Sampson since his appointment as Head Coach last December.

Speaking to FATV on her 25th birthday, she said: “I wasn’t in the previous squads which was a bit disappointing, but I went away [and] worked on what I needed to do.
“I’ve been invited back into the squad which I’m over the moon with and I just hope I can do well.”
With a knee injury ruling White out for the season, County boss Rick Passmoor has moved Clarke from the wing to a more central role up front where she has thrived.
Clarke added: “I’ve had to step into the ‘No9’ role and I’ve really enjoyed it. I have managed to get on the scoresheet but I’m still learning [the position].
“Obviously it’s different from playing on the wing but it gives me a bit more of a direct role, running straight towards goal rather than providing the crosses for people to get on the end of.
“Hopefully I can continue my form.”
