The FA is to help more fans of the two Emirates FA Cup Finalists to attend English football’s showpiece match – with more than 57,000 tickets now going directly to those supporters.
An FA Board proposal to increase allocations for the competing clubs has been agreed.
Currently, the two clubs are entitled to 25,500 tickets each. Increasing this number to 28,650 tickets per team is a significant step forward and is equivalent to 80 per cent of the available seats rather than the previous 71 per cent.

It comes on the back of the Board approving a planned reduction of £5 for all ticket price points at this year’s Final, on Saturday 21 May, and confirmation on Friday of the sixth-round schedule.
The move to increase the Finalists’ allocation followed feedback from across the game and listening to the views of fans that more needed to be done to help as many supporters as possible to see their team at the national stadium.
Approximately 8,000 tickets will be still allocated through the nationwide County FA structure with the vast majority to be used for rewarding people across the grassroots game.
FA chief executive Martin Glenn said: "This is really good news for fans, with more tickets being given to the clubs involved in The Emirates FA Cup Final.
"I have met supporters’ groups in recent weeks and this was something the Board felt was absolutely the right thing to do.
"We particularly want to help as many of those dedicated supporters who follow their team throughout the season to have the reward of being there at Wembley. After all, fans do so much to make the Cup Final the wonderful spectacle it is watched by millions of people around the world.
"We have also been careful to make sure that a significant number of tickets are still distributed to people working across grassroots football in recognition of their selfless commitment to the game.
"Getting this balance right alongside the needs of supporters is important."
