BIO
England’s road to Russia was kick-started by Adam Lallana back in September 2016 when he scored a crucial late winner against Slovakia.
A cultured and clever midfielder, whose incisive passing, vision and movement as well as ability to beat a man and shoot, have made him a popular player for Liverpool and the Three Lions.
Born in St. Albans but raised in Dorset, Lallana began his career with Southampton having initially been schooled at AFC Bournemouth as a youngster and helped the Saints in their rise from the third tier to the top flight before catching the eye in the Premier League.
"He is always one of the guys who push the level in training on to the next level because he is always so intense in all the things he is doing."
Jurgen Klopp
