England midfielders past and present were all on the scoresheet for Liverpool in their 3-1 win at Leicester City.
Adam Lallana, former Three Lions captain Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson found the net as Brendan Rodgers’ side came from a goal down.
Lallana cancelled out a Simon Mignolet own goal, and was assisted by fellow England international Rickie Lambert, who knocked the ball down inside for his former Southampton team-mate to fire home after 26 minutes.
Gerrard gave Liverpool the lead on his return to the starting line-up before Henderson fired the third following a brilliant Raheem Sterling backheel.
Elsewhere England duo Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing enjoyed a 2-1 victory as they helped West Ham defeat West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Burnley striker Danny Ings went into his side’s clash with Newcastle with three goals in his last two games, but he turned provider as Sean Dyche’s team extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 1-1 draw.
There were plenty of Three Lions players on show at Old Trafford as Manchester United continued their good form with victory over Stoke.
Most notably there was a starting spot for England U20s international James Wilson, just one day after his 19th birthday.
And the young striker showed just why he is touted as one for the future by Louis van Gaal, causing several problems with his mazy runs during the Reds’ 2-1 win.
Three Lions trio Chris Smalling, Ashley Young and Michael Carrick also appeared for Manchester United in what was their fourth win in a row.
In League One England U19s midfielder Dele Alli scored the game's only goal – and his second in as many matches – as MK Dons beat Sheffield United 1-0 at Bramall Lane.
