Sincil Bank was the scene of North Ferriby's upset

North Ferriby stormed into The FA Trophy quarter finals with a shock 4-0 win at Conference side Lincoln City in the result of the round on Saturday.

Against their former League opponents, Ferriby dominated from start to finish and secured the scoreline to match at Sincil Bank.

Liam King opened the scoring in the 25th minute before Ryan Kendall ensured the visitors from the Conference North went in to the interval two goals ahead.

Lincoln tried desperately to find a way back into the match in the second half but they were undone once again in the 70th minute when Ryan Jarman won and then scored a penalty to put the tie beyond doubt.

And there was still time for King to grab his second of the afternoon late on to add gloss to the score for Billy Heath's men.

Gosport Borough were the only other side to manage an away victory in Saturday's other seven ties, with Jamie Brown scoring the only goal of the game at Hungerford Town, who missed a second-half penalty.

Meanwhile, Aldershot Town sailed into the last eight with a classy 3-0 victory over Guiseley Town, who were unbeaten in 15 games before today.

Grimsby Town are also through to the next round after edging past Maidenhead United 2-1 at Blundell Park.

Joe Colbeck and Shaun Pearson put the hosts 2-0 up before half time and Grimsby managed to hold on for victory despite Reece Tison-Lascaris' second-half effort.

Eastleigh also had to work hard for their quarter final spot, holding off a determined Dover Athletic side to win 3-2.

Elsewhere, Nigel Atangana's second-half goal was enough to book Havant and Waterlooville's passage through at the expense of Ebbsfleet.

But there were two draws on Saturday with Cambridge and Luton finishing 2-2 in the all-Conference clash while Tamworth and Chorley drew 1-1.
