Monday evening marked one of the most eagerly awaited dates in the football calendar as the Emirates FA Cup third round proper draw took place.
With all Premier League and Championship clubs entering the competition at this stage, it represented a chance for all of those clubs who have fought their way to this stage to land a potential dream draw.
And one of the stand-out ties was the visit of Premier League giants Liverpool to League Two outfit Exeter City.
The Emirates FA Cup
Third Round Proper draw
Monday 7 December 2015
Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff
Ties to be played 8-11 January 2016
Winning clubs receive £67,500 from prize fund
The draw took place at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff - the city which hosted six FA Cup Finals at its Millennium Stadium. England Women's head coach Mark Sampson and former Wales and Arsenal forward John Hartson were drawing the balls.
Another intriguing tie was National League club Eastleigh's home clash with the Championship's bottom club Bolton Wanderers.
There are five all-Premier League ties as leaders Leicester City face a trip to fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, while holders Arsenal begin their defence at the Emirates against Sunderland.
Meanwhile, if Whitehawk can overcome Dagenham & Redbridge in next week's replay, they will travel to Merseyside to take on Everton.
The third round proper matches will be played between 8 and 11 January 2016.
