Tring Athletic overcame an odyssey including traffic jams, a delayed kick-off and 50 minutes with 10 men to reach The Buildbase FA Vase third round, beating Rothwell Corinthian 2-1 in a second round replay.
Delayed on their way to Rothwell, Tring led after just four minutes thanks to George Brinkman’s goal, headed in from Chris Stapleton's cross.
However just before half-time they lost George Carbery to a red card and looked set to have to spend the second half defending.
Instead, Stapleton was brought down in the box on the hour, allowing Sam Joliffe to make it 2-0 from the spot.
And despite Lewis O’Dell pulling one back with a penalty of his own, it was the visitors who clung on for the win and a place in round three.
Bradford Town produced a brilliant first-half display as they saw off Brimscombe & Thrupp 5-0.
Dan Cottle and Matt Morris scored two goals each, with Martin Lenihan scoring the fifth just before half-time to leave the hosts stunned. There was no way back in the second half, which was scoreless.
George Asplin scored twice for Sleaford Town, including a penalty after he had been fouled for the opener, in a 4-1 win over Leicester Nirvana.
FC Romania were also impressive winners, 2-0 against Ipswich Wanderers, while Chichester City equalised late on before two goals in extra time saw off Canterbury City 3-1.
