Jamie Collins was Sutton United’s hero as the non-league side knocked Leeds United out of the Emirates FA Cup fourth round.
The Yellows’ captain slammed home a 53rd-minute penalty after Roarie Deacon was felled inside the box to send Gander Green Lane into raptures.
That spot-kick sealed Sutton’s place in round five for the first time in their history – and provided the club’s greatest moment since they knocked Coventry City out of the Cup in 1989.
Paul Doswell’s side are the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, 84 places below Leeds in the league pyramid, and they join fellow National League side Lincoln City in the last 16.
Leeds’ misery was complete when their skipper, Liam Cooper, was sent off late on for a second bookable offence.
