Lewis Gibson’s first-half goal ensured England completed their Euro U17 Championship Elite Round qualifier with a 100 per cent record.
Comprehensive victories over Czech Republic and Slovenia out in Bosnia & Herzegovina had already made certain of the Young Lions’ spot at May’s European Championship Finals in Croatia.
But Steve Cooper’s team ensured they finished off in style when Newcastle United’s Lewis Gibson converted a corner from Nya Kirby in the 15th minute.
It was to be England’s only effort on target, but with little to test keeper Josef Bursik at the other end the Young Lions held out for a fifth successive victory.
