England U18s head to Slovakia next week to compete in an eight-nation tournament which will see them play four fixtures.
The Young Lions have been drawn in a group with the host nation Slovakia, Russia and Mexico and will then face a game to decide final placings at the competition.
Neil Dewsnip has picked a 22-man squad for the trip, including first England call-ups for midfielders Rowan McDonald from Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harvey White and Everton forward Ellis Simms.
Dewsnip said: “We’re pleased with the squad we have for this tournament. We have some new players with us in Rowan McDonald, Ellis Simms and Harvey White while everyone else has been with us during the season.
“We’ve worked with around 35 players this year as at this age group we’re looking to continue developing our established England youth players, but also looking to find some emerging talent or late developers.
“We’ve never taken part in this tournament before, it will be quite demanding as we have four games in a short amount of time, but we’re intending to use all players and it will be great experience for them.
“It’ll be three very different games. We played Mexico recently in Dubai and it was an exciting, feisty encounter and we expect tough matches from Russia and Slovenia and hope to make it to the final.
“It’s been a great season for the squad. We’ve won three out of the four tournaments that we’ve played in so far, developed a good, strong winning mentality and hopefully we’ll finish the season off on a high."
The competition will kick-off against Russia at the FC Vion Zlaté Moravce Stadium on Monday 20 May (11am BST), before taking on Slovakia at the Mestský Stadión in Žiar nad Hronom the following evening (5pm BST).
After a rest day, England are back in Moravce to take on Mexico on Thursday 23 May (11am BST).
The last match on Friday 24 May will see them take on either Croatia, Spain, Czech Republic or Ukraine from the other group to decide the final placings of the competition.
Dewsnip's side have enjoyed a successful season which has seen them win tournaments in France and Spain and then finish second in a similar competition in UAE in March.
