Phil Neville has placed his trust in youth to defend England's SheBelieves Cup crown this year, but there's one name on the squad list that stands out from the rest - Grace Fisk.
The 22-year-old is the only uncapped outfield player in Neville's 23-strong squad for the trip to the USA in March, but has only been back on English shores for a matter of weeks having spent the last three years playing college football in the States.
Born in Bromley, Fisk came through the ranks with her local club Millwall Lionesses and debuted for the first team aged just 16 back in 2014, before moving to the Penn State Nittany Lions in 2016 for her first taste of university football.
After a year, the centre-back then transferred to the South Carolina Gamecocks where she established herself as a standout player in a title-winning side.
Fisk has also represented England at WU17, WU19, WU20 and WU21 levels and captained the WU20 team to bronze at the FIFA World Cup in France in 2018.
And in January this year, she earned a move to the Barclays FA WSL with West Ham and has started every game under Matt Beard since her arrival and selection for the Lionesses squad.
But Beard isn't the only manager who likes what he sees from the young defender, as Neville explained how impressed he has been with Fisk and exactly why she deserves to represent her country.
"Because of her college situation she hasn't been with us for the last 12 months but she came over for three days prior to the World Cup last year and I was impressed then," said the England boss.
"Since she has come back over here and signed for West Ham, I've seen things in her; composure, confidence and courage and probably her biggest strength which is that she takes unbelievable accountability for her own performances.
"After games, she's the one telling me how she has played, how she felt and what she needs to do to improve.
"I've got 100 per cent faith in her - similar to when I saw Abbie McManus first play - I see something in her that makes me think 'I like that.'
"The fact that she's got great potential means that it's a vital time to get her involved and give her a programme to make sure she becomes one of our best players."
Featuring alongside Fisk for the first time in the senior team is Everton goalkeeper Sandy MacIver while Neville has named a total of eight players under the age of 23 in his final squad.
Other notable call ups include that of MacIver's club team-mate Chloe Kelly and 19-year-old Manchester City forward Lauren Hemp, but there's a distinct blend of youth and experience in the squad with captain Steph Houghton and Jill Scott both centurions.
"I've tried to focus on youth ever since I came in because that is part of what I believe in and I've already used a lot of these young players," added Neville.
"But now they've got to the point where they are playing regularly and at international level and ultimately they deserve to be in the squad.
"When I saw these players in France in the U20 World Cup a few years ago, I realised we had a special bunch of players.
"Now is the right time, having planned this for the last 12 months, to bring them into the squad and expose them to the best tournament outside of the major competitions."
