England MU17s head coach Kevin Betsy has named a 22-player squad for a trio of fixtures in Spain.
The Young Lions will travel to Marbella next month where they will face Ukraine twice and Russia.
They will first play Ukraine on Thursday 6 February, before taking on Russia on Saturday 8 February. England again face Ukraine, in their final fixture, two days later.
The fixtures will be a key part of England’s preparation for their UEFA U17 EURO elite round qualifiers, which will be played in March.
Betsy’s side will face Georgia, Romania and hosts Belgium in Group 6 as they look to qualify for this summer’s tournament in Estonia.
“These games will play a really important part of the final stages of our preparation for this year’s U17 elite round qualifiers, which has been an ongoing process through the England pathway," said Betsy.
“We wanted to play three matches to replicate the Elite Round format and with Ukraine and Russia we’re facing sides that will give us similar tactical and physical challenges that we’ll face in the qualifiers in March.
“We’ve got a quite a few new players to welcome on this camp and we are looking forward to seeing them.
"As is common at this age group, we have a number of players in their GCSE year and we also have players playing first team football and doing well for their clubs and are also progressing in the FA Youth Cup, so this gives the opportunity to others.
"It’s important for us to work closely with the clubs, be flexible and individualise selection to best support each player’s development.
“It gives us a good chance to take a look at a wider number of players, for them to integrate into the England environment, how we play and experience international football, and put themselves forward for contention for the qualifiers and future age group selection.”
