England WU19s slipped to defeat against Sweden in their second game at the La Manga Tournament in Spain.
After Sweden took the lead in the 35th minute through Evelyn Ijeh, England got themselves level midway through the second half with half-time substitute Missy Bo Kearns getting on the scoresheet.
It looked as though the Young Lionesses were going to take a draw, but Sweden found a winner in the 82nd minute when substitute Ella Smith Ygfeldt scored.
Emma Coates' squad will round off the tournament on Sunday when they play Denmark.
The trip is being used as preparation for the UEFA U19 EURO elite round qualifiers which see England face group hosts Czech Republic, Norway and Republic of Ireland between 8-14 April.
