The FA Youth Cup third round proper draw has been made, with clubs from the Premier League and EFL Championship now joining the competition.
With a number of first and second round games still to be played over the coming weeks, much of the third round schedule is still to be finalised.
But the clubs now know where who they'll be facing should they reach the 32-tie third round stage.
Current holders Manchester City, who beat Chelsea in the 2020 Final at St. George's Park earlier this month, are among the clubs who won't have to wait as they've been drawn out to face Birmingham City at home.
It's the same for Chelsea, who will take on Barnsley at home while there will be dreams of a home tie with Manchester United for Salford City, but they will have to overcome either Tranmere Rovers or Hyde United in the second round first.
There has recently been a review of the FA Youth Cup as a result of the impact which the current national lockdown has had on the competition, due to non-elite clubs not being permitted to play matches in this competition during this period.
To ensure the competition can complete its fixtures on-field and as originally scheduled (or as many as possible), in an equitable manner and to ensure the Final can be played by Saturday 24 April 2021, a revised schedule has been confirmed as follows:-
First Round Proper - Eight outstanding matches to be played by Saturday 12 December
Second Round Proper - To be played by Saturday 26 December
Third Round Proper - To be played by Saturday 16 January
Fourth Round Proper - To be played by Saturday 30 January
Fifth Round Proper - To be played by Saturday 13 February
Providing that all matches are completed as above, there will be no change to the quarter-final, semi-final and Final schedule, as per below.
Quarter-final - To be played by Saturday 27 February
Semi-final - To be played by Saturday 10 March
Final - To be played by Saturday 24 April
