England's Alessia Russo will miss October's trip to Germany
Manchester United forward Alessia Russo has withdrawn from the England Women’s Senior squad with a thigh injury ahead of the team’s meeting with Germany.
And she's been replaced in Phil Neville's squad by her United teammate Katie Zelem, who joins the senior group for the second time after previously being called up for September's training camp. She will now join the team at England’s St. George’s Park base.
The team travel to Wiesbaden, Germany next week ahead of their international against the two-time World Cup winners on Tuesday 27 October, which will be broadcast live on BBC TWO (kick-off 3pm GMT).
