Aston Villa v Liverpool
7.45pm, Friday 8 January 2021
Live on BT Sport
This will be only the fifth FA Cup meeting between the two sides, with Aston Villa having lost three times but winning most recently, in a 2-1 semi-final victory back in 2015.
Villa have found some rhythm this season and will believe that a trophy challenge is well within their capabilities, while the Reds are still hunting for their first FA Cup title in 15 years.
Their Wembley encounter in 2015 saw goals from Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph seal a place in the Final for Tim Sherwood's side.
Chorley v Derby County
12.15pm, Saturday 9 January 2021
Live on BT Sport 1
Chorley provided one of the second round's biggest upsets when they knocked out Peterborough United to advance to third round for the first time in their history.
The Magpies’ fans already have fond memories of this term's Cup run, after knocking out 2013 Cup winners and near-neighbours Wigan Athletic in November's first round before ditching another League One side out in Peterborough a few weeks later.
But they will now be looking to open a new chapter in their history book when they face Championship side Derby County, now managed by Wayne Rooney.
Queens Park Rangers v Fulham
3pm, Saturday 9 January 2021
Live on BBC digital platforms
The third round is throwing us a west London derby, as Fulham make the short journey from Craven Cottage in SW6 to Loftus Road in W12 to take on Queen’s Park Rangers.
Scott Parker’s side looked like they had escaped the grasp of their local rivals by winning promotion to the Premier League last season, but there appears to be no hiding from Mark Warburton's Hoops, who will be keen to bring Fulham down a peg or two on home turf.
Arsenal v Newcastle United
5.30pm, Saturday 9 January 2021
Live on BBC One
Reigning Cup holders and 14-time winners Arsenal will get a visit from fellow top-flight outfit Newcastle in what is panning out to be a tricky season for both clubs.
The Gunners have often offset poor league performances with lifting the FA Cup in recent years, while the Toon Army need to look back to 1954-55 for their last success in the competition.
A repeat of the 1998 FA Cup Final at the old Wembley when Arsene Wenger's Gunners won by 2-0 thanks to strikes from Marc Overmars and Nicolas Anelka.
Marine v Tottenham Hotspur
5pm, Sunday 10 January 2021
Live on BBC One
The tie of the round will see eighth-tier Marine take on the mighty Tottenham Hotspur with the largest gap between two sides in Emirates FA Cup history.
The Merseyside-based Mariners have been given the green light to host Jose Mourinho's men at their home of Rossett Park, having already beaten Barnoldswick Town, Frickley Athletic, Runcorn Linnets, Nantwich Town, Chester, Colchester United and Havant & Waterlooville to reach this stage.
They’ve also been handed a major financial boost after the game was selected for live broadcast on BBC One, meaning both sides will receive an additional £75,000.
This one is a classic FA Cup 'David v Goliath' tie.
Remember, fans in the UK can watch ALL 32 ties in the third round via BBC, BT Sport and their digital platforms and The FA Player.
