Premier League and EFL Championship clubs join FA Youth Cup after third round draw

Tuesday 16 Nov 2021
Last season's winners Aston Villa face a home tie with Leicester City as they begin their defence

The draw for the third round proper of the FA Youth Cup was made on Tuesday morning, with clubs from the Premier League and EFL Championship joining the competition at this stage.

With 32 ties and the competition now staged on a national basis, there are still a number of second round ties to be played over the coming weeks before the third round draw will be finalised.

And clubs will have until Saturday 11 December 2021 to play their ties.

For the 2021-22 competition, players must have been born on or after 1 September 2003 and before 1 September 2006 to be eligible to feature in the FA Youth Cup.
