When it comes to providing the best possible environment for our 24 England teams to train, prepare and recover, St. George’s Park never stands still.

Always assessing ways in which our facilities can be upgraded, to ensure our people can be the best that they can be, our Staffordshire site has undergone a transformation across three areas in recent months.

All three will provide fresh areas for players, coaches and support staff to utilise heading into 2025, while they will also be available for hire to external visitors outside of international windows, providing an inspirational setting for any meeting or function.

Let’s take a look at our newest upgrades at St. George’s Park…

The Team Briefing Room is located at the heart of our Football Centre, positioned to allow coaches, analysts, and performance staff to provide players with key messages immediately before stepping onto our pitches for training. Inspired by GB Hockey’s learning space at Bisham Abbey, the flexible tiered seating enables a full squad to sit together as one team in different configurations, whilst a Subbuteo style pitch creates an alternative method to visualise tactical scenarios.

Meanwhile, the Jimmy Armfield Briefing Room has been modified to provide an additional setting for team briefings. Previously known as the lecture theatre, the updated briefing room is based at our on-site Hilton hotel. Significantly larger than the National Football Centre briefing room, the design and layout of the Jimmy Armfield briefing room oozes sophistication in a setting that promotes calm and elite professionalism. Drawing inspiration from a range of Premier League clubs players can concentrate in comfort through tiered leather seating, while a raised platform provides space for additional staff, or a location for standalone meetings.

Finally, Club England, located on Level 1 of the Hilton hotel, has been modernised to adapt to the changing needs of our teams, in addition to being given a fresh new look. The hub includes meeting rooms, alongside its own kitchen and serving area. These facilities ensure that Club England comfortably accommodates a full squad of players, providing plenty of space and privacy for meetings and dining. When no international fixtures or team training camps are on site, Club England can also be divided into smaller meeting rooms for use by hotel guests.

We look forward to seeing our teams and visitors utilising these upgraded areas throughout 2025 and beyond.
