An update from the National Game Board regarding the responsibility of futsal

Friday 07 Jun 2024

The National Game Board has confirmed that responsibility for Futsal will be passed to the Football Development Committee from the 2024/25 season. The rationale for this change is to bring Futsal closer to the national game and ensure Futsal is consistently considered alongside other formats, that are the responsibility of the Football Development Committee.

We would like to thank members of the Futsal Committee for their hard work and dedication in growing and developing Futsal as well as their commitment to governance during their service on the committee.

From the start of the 2024/25 season, the Football Development Committee will provide overall responsibility for the control and management of Futsal in England following the cessation of the Futsal Committee.

We also look forward to continuing to work with England Futsal, our official delivery partner for the game format, in providing stability and growth for Futsal in this country. We will continue to support England Futsal as they embark on an exciting year ahead, with the senior England Men’s and Women’s National Futsal Teams competing in upcoming UEFA and FIFA competitions.
