An appeal against sanction by Reading FC’s Nigel Howe has been allowed in part by an independent Appeal Board.
In April 2024, an independent Regulatory Commission imposed a £5,000 fine and 12-month suspension on Nigel Howe for misconduct in relation to FA Rule E1.2 between 1 March 2019 and 16 July 2019.
During the first six months, Nigel Howe was suspended from being involved in player contract negotiations and transfer-related activity, and he was due to be suspended from all football and football-related activity during the second six months.
Nigel Howe appealed against the six-month suspension from all football and football-related activity, and the independent Appeal Board reduced this to three months up to and including 4 January 2025.
