Teddy Sharman-Lowe’s penalty save earned Doncaster Rovers victory over Championship strugglers Hull City to secure their place in the Fourth Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Luke Molyneux put the League Two side ahead just after half-time, before the hosts pulled level through Gustavo Puerta 10 minutes from time.

After neither side found a breakthrough in extra-time, Sharman-Lowe had his moment in the spotlight as he kept out Alfie Jones’ spot-kick in the shootout to send the visitors into the next round, winning 5-4 on penalties.

National League Tamworth made Tottenham Hotspur work for their win as they forced the Third Round tie to extra-time before the north London club triumphed 3-0.

The Lamb Ground was at capacity to witness a battling display from the hosts, with Jasbir Singh producing goalkeeping heroics to preserve his clean sheet for over 100 minutes.

Spurs eventually found their breakthrough 11 minutes into extra-time as a goalmouth scramble saw the ball roll into the net via Tamworth’s Nathan Tshikuna.

Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson saved the Premier League side’s blushes, adding a further two goals to dash Tamworth’s hopes of an upset.

Congreve delivers magical moment

Bromley also had a glimpse of FA Cup magic as Cameron Congreve put the League Two club ahead against in-form Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

The Magpies allowed them eight minutes of glory before Lewis Miley spoiled the party with an equaliser.

The plucky visitors limited Newcastle to three goals, with the hosts having to wait until after the break to take the lead before winning 3-1.

Elsewhere, a wasteful Arsenal side were knocked out on penalties by 10-man Manchester United having drawn 1-1 after extra-time.

United took the lead through Bruno Fernandes before Gabriel put the hosts back on level terms minutes before Diogo Dalot had been sent off for a second yellow card offence.

It was Altay Bayindir who made the difference for the visitors as he saved Martin Odegaard’s penalty in normal time before repeating the feat to stop Kai Havertz’s spot-kick and seal victory in the shootout.

Crystal Palace were also restricted up front as they defeated Stockport County 1-0, with Eberechi Eze’s fourth minute strike all that separated the sides.

Tyler Dibling’s brace helped Southampton to 3-0 victory over Swansea City while Ipswich Town are also through to the next round after beating Bristol Rovers by the same margin.
