Jordon Ibe has joined Derby County on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool.
Ibe follows in the footsteps of Anfield team-mate and England Under-21 defender Andre Wisdom, who spent last season on loan at Pride Park
The 18-year-old, who on Thursday was selected among Aidy Boothroyd’s England U20 squad to face Romania on 5 September, has made three first-team appearances for Liverpool since making his debut in May 2013.
He was part of the squad that embarked on a five-city tour of the United States earlier in the summer – and impressed throughout.
The goalscoring winger was also an ever-present for England U19s in 2013-14, and scored a memorable hat-trick in the Young Lions’ 6-0 victory against Montenegro in May.
And Derby County manager Steve McClaren said he is pleased to have got his man.
“We’re delighted that Liverpool have again chosen to loan us one of their promising young players,” he said.
“Jordon Ibe is someone we have been aware of for quite a while and have been impressed whenever we’ve seen him in action.
“He has a lot of potential and we believe that we can help his career development”

“He has a lot of potential and we believe that we can help his career development.”
He continued: “He is a direct player with plenty of ability and he will certainly strengthen our attacking options.”
Derby County continue their Championship campaign at home against Ipswich Town on Saturday 30 August.
After the international break the Rams travel to Nottingham Forest to take on Stuart Pearce's side on 14 September.
