Liverpool fell to a 2-1 friendly defeat against Danish side Brondby, but one England U19 international caught the eye despite the defeat.
With none of his World Cup contingent available, Brendan Rodgers fielded a young side - including highly-rated winger Jordon Ibe.
However, the inexperienced Reds fell behind to a Christian Norgaard strike in the first half.
Brondby 2-1 Liverpool
Pre-season friendly

Liverpool went in to the half-time break still trailing, but began the second period in fine fashion, in the heart of the Ibe action.
Ibe - who netted a hat-trick for England U19s against Montenegro at the end of the 2013-14 season - set up Kristoffer Peterson for the equaliser.
The London-born teenager beat his man with ease, before accelerating down the left wing and setting up the young Swede, who could not miss.
And speaking under the game the Liverpool goalscorer praised Ibe for his contribution.
"He's a top player and it's thanks to him that I scored the goal," Peterson told Liverpoolfc.com shortly after the final whistle in Denmark.
"It's a dream come true to score a goal, but it doesn't matter really. I thought we did well, for the first game.
"We have been training really hard. It will come; it's only the first game of the season.
"I'm very happy. To be able to score for Liverpool, it doesn't get much better. I just want to keep this going and hopefully I can improve and score more goals."
The Reds were beaten deep in injury-time when Fehran Hasani broke clear to score a late winner, but Rodgers will undoubtedly take heart from the performance of the 18-year-old forward.
Liverpool continue their pre-season schedule back in England with an away fixture at Preston North End on Saturday 19 July.
The game kicks off at 3pm.
